Karachi: Chief minister Gilgit Baltistan, Syed Mehdi Shah meet the participants of “Walk for Peace” Ejaz Ali Rumi and Asghar Ali Rumi at a local hotel Karachi here on Thursday evening.  CM was attending a party given by Hakima Sultana, Senior activist of PPP Gilgit Baltistan.  the party was followed by Waqar Mehdi , Ashad Rabahi , Nazir Gojali,  Ali Gilgiti,  Noor Alam and Shukat Gilgiti.

Speaking to the party Mehdi praise the effort of Ejaz and Asghar for the cause of peace.  He said that this sort of activities are sigh of civilized society, every youth should contribute for the development of nation as there tow has did for peace. he assured his full support for the participants of the walk.

Karachi 21 Jan: The five coalition partner villages of Gojal including Ghulkin, Hussani, Passu, Shimshal and Khyber awarded token of appreciation to Asghar Rumi and Ejaz Rumi.

A program was arranged by these coalition partner villages in Aga khan Gym Khana Karachi on Sunday. The program arranged by these mergers aims to pay tribute to Ejaz Ali Rumi and Asghar Ali Rumi, who has embarked a historical walk for the cause of peace from Khunjerav(Pak-China border) to Karachi.

Chairmen Gojal Ismalia Students Association Karachi GISAK, Karim Ali Bahadur was chief guest of the program.

Nadeem Posh and Didar Ali presented garland to Ejaz and Asghar. Chairmen GISAK Karim Ali Bahadur presented them the token of appreciation.

Speaking to the gathering chairmen GISAK Karim congrats Ejaz Rumi and Asghar Rumi for completing their mission. He also appreciates the two peace walker and said that these kind of activities has always positive impact on society.

Karim also shared his innovative plans and ideas regarding the functioning of the association. He sought full and cent percent dedication from the students association of Gojal and stressed village level associations to built better interaction with GISAK. He said he will try his best to render services and to further strengthen the GSIAK. He further said what ever he said he will try his most excellent to practically implement them and would work by leaps and bounds to take the GISAK at miles.

Ex-president of the Gulkin students association GSA Murad Khan also hailed the great efforts of the two peace-walkers.

The two peace walkers Ejaz Rumi and Asghar Rumi also spoke on the occasion and thanked the coalition partners to praise and appreciate their efforts. They also thanked all the well wishers of Khunjerav to Karachi peace walk and those who has pray and espoused them to complete this mission with great admiration

The presidents of the coalition partners including Kiramat of Shahi Khyber Studentsassociation, Noushad from Shimshal, Asad president PSA, Nisar president GSA and Aziz Karim president of Hussaini Students association were also there .

With this hope the program came to an end that they would work for the betterment of the students collectively and will also play their role to strengthen the GISAK.

Karachi: Shahi Khyber Youth Students Organization SKYSO offered a dinner party in honor of the Khunjerav to Karachi peace walk activists, Ejaz Ali Rumi and Asghar Ali Rumi here on Monday.

President Kiramat Ali, Secretary Ali Sher and  other sinor members of  SKYSO were present at the party.

Karachi (HT): Khunjerav to Karachi peace walk conclude at Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Karachi here on Sunday. The walk started on October 4 from Khunjerav pass (Pak-China border) and complete in 77 days. The have walked 2600Km in 560 hours.

Sindh government, people of Gilgit-Baltistan, different organizations and other supporters of Khunjerav to Karachi peace walk host warm reception for the two young peace participant, Ejaz Ali Rumi and Asghar Ali Rumi at Mazar-e-Qaid with large media coverage.. Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Shehla Raza, Adviser CM Waqaer Medhi, Rashid Rabani, President District center Sardar Alam and Nazir Gojali information Secretary PS 177 were present at the occasion to receive the two young. The activists of peace Ejaz ali Rumi and Asghar Ali Rumi along with deputy speaker Shehla Raza laid floral wreath at Quaid grave and offered Fatiha.

Speaking to media Shehla Said “I pay tribute to the effort of Ejaz Rumi and Asghar Rumi. These two young have shown that people of the nation are peace lover and want peace in the country, by walking for peace from Gilgit to Karachi.” The youth has devoted their present for peace and soon the peace of the country will be restored She added.

Meanwhile speaking to media the two peace activists Ejaz Rumi and Asghar Rumi said that have completed their walk of 77days through different cities to Karachi. We have proved to the world that Pakistan is peaceful country and every one want peace. We meet different peoples in different areas, we found them all peaceful and they all support our mission. Ejaz Rumi added.

He extends his thanks to Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, NWFP, Punjab, Sindh and City district government of Karachi. He also thanked the media persons to cover the Peace walk and support them to propagate the message of peace.

Asghar Ali Rumi said, “This peace walk has proved wide of the mark the perception of the western countries about Pakistan and Muslims, we are not that which media has propagate about us to the rest of the world. Pakistan is a peaceful country and Islam is the religion of peace. He said.

He said that we have completed this mission successfully with the prayer of our parents and the nation.

Earlier on the walk resumed today morning from Karinabad today morning in form of rally to Mazar-e-Qaid.
